About Us

David Gierlach is a former drug and alcohol counselor (Hina Mauka 1982-1986), trial attorney (1989-2011), per diem Family Court Judge (1996-2000 and 2016-2022) and Episcopal priest (2007-current). He is currently the vicar of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Kailua, Hawai’i.  

Rev Jazzy Bostock is a kanaka maoli Episcopal priest, serving both St John the Baptist Episcopal Church and Maluhia Lutheran Church in Waianae, the west side of O’ahu. She and her wife share two boys, Theo (5) and Sam (1), and a small homestead. She loves to garden, laugh, be barefoot in the sun, and cook.

Scott Landis is a retired minister having served the United Church of Christ for over 45 years. Born and reared in Philadelphia, Scott has served in both the church and college settings across the Continent. His final call was an extended interim in Maui where he resides with his husband, Randy. An avid canoe paddler, Scott enjoys the outdoors and supporting the spiritual needs of those engaged in the challenging work of justice. 

Dr. Ellen Caringer is a child psychologist and neuropsychologist, who lives on the island of Kauai.  She is one of the founders of Hui Aloha ‘O Hawaii Indivisible, and is a member of Koloa Union Church, where she is also the pianist.  

The Rev. Dr Robert “Bob” Nelson is a retired priest after serving 40 years in the  Episcopal Diocese of Alaska. After moving to Maui he served another 20 years part-time as supply priest and hospital chaplain. Bob has a Doctorate in pastoral counseling from Claremont School of Theology. He has provided marriage and family counseling as well as pastoral therapy to clients. He has helped to establish six Samaritan Counseling Centers. Bob has two adult children and one grand daughter.
